Code 43, Crank Signal, No Signal: Notes

ECM receives a 12-volt signal when ignition switch is in START position. ECM uses this signal, along with others, to determine injection time of fuel injectors. If signal is not detected during ignition, ECM will still allow engine to start, but Code 43 will set.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Checks for open in Black wire between Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch (M/T) or Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch (A/T) and ECM, or a faulty ECM.
