Code 43, Crank Signal, No Signal: Notes

PCM receives a 12-volt signal when ignition switch is in START position. PCM uses this signal, along with others, to determine injection time of fuel injectors. If signal is not detected during ignition, PCM will still allow engine to start, but Code 43 will set.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. Checks for open in Black wire between Clutch Pedal Position (CPP) switch (M/T) or Park/Neutral Position (PNP) switch (A/T) and PCM, or a faulty PCM.
