Fuel Rail & Injectors (PFI): Installation

1. Install NEW "O" ring and grommet on injectors. Lubricate new injector "O" rings with clean gasoline. Install insulators into injector bores. Install spacers at delivery pipe-to-cylinder head bolt locations.
2. Install fuel rail and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Ensure injectors rotate smoothly in injector bore. If injectors are tight and will not rotate, loosen and reinstall injectors. To complete installation, reverse removal procedure.

To install, reverse removal procedure. Lubricate new injector "O" rings with engine oil before installation. Use NEW "O" rings, seals and retainers in fuel rail when installing fuel inlet line and pressure regulator. Ensure injectors are firmly seated into rail and intake port sockets.
