Hydraulic Pressure Tests: Notes

CAUTION: Parking and service brakes must be applied at all times during hydraulic pressure test. Total testing time with vehicle in any driving gear should not exceed 2 minutes.

Before performing hydraulic pressure tests, check fluid level and condition. Connect a tachometer to engine and an oil pressure gauge to the line pressure test port. See Fig 1. Also, refer to the LINE PRESSURE SPECIFICATIONS  for correct line pressure at specified engine RPM.

NOTE: Hydraulic pressure is controlled by pump output and is regulated by line pressure duty solenoid.
