Test No. 2

  1. If charge indicator light is off when ignition is on and engine is not running, turn ignition off. Disconnect 3-wire alternator connector. Connect a jumper wire between alternator connector Yellow wire and ground.
  2. If charge indicator light comes on, replace regulator. If charge indicator light remains off, check 10-amp IGN fuse and 7.5-amp CHG fuse in fuse box. Fuse box is located near left kick panel. If fuses are okay, repair open in Yellow wire between alternator terminal "L" and charge indicator light or Black/Orange wire between charge indicator light and ignition switch.
