THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH (EXCEPT GSi)

With battery disconnected, disconnect switch electrical connection. Note TPS terminal identification. See Fig 1 . Install proper thickness feeler gauge between stop screw and lever. See THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY table.
Using ohmmeter, check continuity between designated terminals. Adjust or replace switch if not within specification. See THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH CONTINUITY table.

Continuity

Between Terminals E2 & IDL ⁽³⁾⁽⁴⁾

No Continuity

⁽¹⁾	Rotate throttle switch to obtain correct continuity.

⁽²⁾	With .028" (.71 mm) feeler gauge installed between stop screw and lever.

⁽³⁾	The terminal E2 is the Brown wire and terminal IDL is the Blue wire.

⁽⁴⁾	With .032" (.81 mm) feeler gauge installed between stop screw and lever.
