Throttle Opener

  1. Ensure transmission is in Park or Neutral position and parking brake is set. Warm engine to operating temperature and turn off all accessories. Ensure idle speed is within specification. See IDLE SPEED SPECIFICATIONS table.
  2. Disconnect and plug vacuum hose at throttle opener. See Figure . Idle should increase to 1700-1800 RPM. To adjust, turn throttle opener screw on throttle lever to desired RPM. Reconnect vacuum hose and ensure engine returns to idle.
