Throttle Body R & I: Installation
- Install new throttle body base gasket on intake manifold. DO NOT use sealer or glue. Install throttle body and tighten mounting bolts to 14-20 ft. lbs. (18-28 N.m).NOTE: On models with automatic transmission, ensure fuel heater plate is installed under throttle body.
- Connect fuel line with new "O" ring and tighten bolts to 71-106 INCH lbs. (8-12 N.m). Connect fuel return line to fuel pressure regulator.
- Ensure ignition is off. Check for fuel leaks by connecting jumper wire between Pink/Black and Black/White wires of control relay (under left side dash near kick panel). See Fig 1 . Turn ignition on, leave engine off. This will activate fuel pump. If fuel leaks are not present, install remaining components. Refill cooling system.
