Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) R & I: Installation

  1. If wiring harness was removed from coupler, insert wires into coupler. Install TPS so its adjusting holes slightly cover mounting bolt holes. See Figure .
  2. Turn sensor so mounting holes align. Install sensor mounting bolts and finger tighten only. Clamp wiring harness securely to side of throttle body. Reconnect battery. Adjust TPS. See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR (TPS) in ADJUSTMENTS article. Tighten mounting bolts to 31 INCH lbs. (3.5 N.m).
