Circuit Test

  1. If no-start condition exists, probe starter solenoid ST terminal (terminal No. 50 on Prizm) using test light. Turn ignition switch to START position. If test light does not glow, check ignition switch, relays and wiring circuit. See appropriate chassis wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS. Also, see appropriate relay and switch tests in this article.
  2. If the test light glows, remove the starter and proceed to BENCH TESTING .
