Rear Wiper Motor

  1. Unplug rear wiper motor 5-terminal harness connector near rear door hinge. Using 12-volt battery, connect positive battery lead to Orange wire terminal of wiper motor harness connector. Connect negative lead to rear door hinge. Motor should rotate at 38-46 RPM. If motor does not operate, remove inner rear door panel and ensure Black wire ground connection of wiper motor assembly is good.
  2. To test automatic park cycle, connect battery positive lead to Yellow/Blue wire terminal of wiper motor 5-terminal harness connector. Connect jumper wire across Orange and Blue/Green terminals of harness connector. Motor should stop at normal park position. See Fig 1 . If motor does not operate, remove inner rear door panel and ensure Black wire ground connection of wiper motor assembly is good. If wiper motor does not perform as described, replace wiper motor assembly.
