Testing Fuel Gauge Sending Unit

Disconnect battery cables. Remove fuel tank sending unit. Connect ohmmeter to sending unit connector terminals. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT CONNECTOR TERMINALS table. Position sender float/arm and ensure resistances are within specifications. See FUEL GAUGE SENDING UNIT RESISTANCE table. If sending unit resistances are not within specifications, replace sending unit.
