Combination Switch: Removal

  1. Remove steering wheel. See STEERING WHEEL & HORN PAD  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove covers from steering column.
  2. On Convertible, remove 6 screws retaining upper and lower steering column covers. Remove steering column covers from steering column. Disconnect 4 electrical connectors: 2 from fuse block, one from SIR harness and one from main wire harness. Remove 4 screws retaining SIR coil and combination switch assembly.
  3. On all models, disconnect electrical connection from combination switch. Remove electrical wiring retaining straps. Remove combination switch retaining screws and combination switch.
