Removal (Tracker)

  1. Disconnect negative battery cable. Drain engine coolant so level is below throttle body. Remove air intake case from throttle body.
  2. Disconnect accelerator cable and automatic transmission kickdown cable (if equipped) from throttle body. Unplug injector, throttle position sensor and idle speed control solenoid couplers at throttle body.
  3. Label and disconnect all vacuum hoses from throttle body. Disconnect coolant hose from air valve on throttle body.
  4. Relieve fuel system pressure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article. Remove fuel feed line from throttle body and fuel return line from fuel pressure regulator. Remove 4 mounting bolts and lift throttle body off of intake manifold.
