EGR Valve (Spectrum)

Apply approximately 7.1 in. Hg to EGR valve. Ensure that EGR valve fully opens and vacuum does not bleed off.

EGR/Purge Control Thermal Vacuum Valve (Spectrum)

Place sensing portion of thermal vacuum valve in water. Heat water to greater than 130°F (54°C). Ensure valve is open. Cool sensing portion of valve to 95°F (35°C). Ensure valve is closed. If valve does not follow specifications, replace valve.
