EGR Modulator (Metro & Tracker)

  1. Remove EGR modulator. Ensure filter is not plugged. Filter is located under removable upper cap (if equipped). Plug one upper vacuum hose fitting while applying low pressure air to opposite vacuum hose fitting. Air should flow freely. Connect hand-held vacuum pump to one upper vacuum fitting. Connect vacuum gauge to opposite vacuum hose fitting.
  2. Apply low pressure air to bottom fitting while applying vacuum with vacuum pump. Vacuum should be indicated on gauge. When low pressure air application stops at bottom fitting, vacuum gauge indicator should return to zero. Replace EGR modulator if performance is not satisfactory.
