Choke Valve Clearance

  1. Fully open choke valve. Open throttle lever while pushing choke valve in closed position. Place choke valve on third step of fast idle cam. Check choke valve clearance between valve and bore.
  2. Clearance should be .086" (2.19 mm). Choke cover must be removed for adjustment. Remove rivet from choke cover. Bend inner choke lever for adjustment. Install choke cover. See Fig 1 .
