Code 25, Air Injection Reactor Vacuum Switching Valve Solenoid Circuit Open Or Grounded

During cold operation, the ECM grounds the circuit energizing the solenoid and permitting air to go to the exhaust and catalytic converter. During off-idle, air is diverted to the atmosphere when the solenoid is de-energized.

NOTE: Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
  1. This checks for proper operation of solenoid.
  2. This checks for a grounded circuit No. 429 or ECM.
  3. This checks if voltage is available to circuit.
