Speed Sensor Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect connector(s) from A/T control module. For speed sensor "B" check, place ohmmeter probes on connector terminals at sensor. See Figure .
  2. Speed sensor resistance can be checked at connector terminals. Speed sensor function can be checked by measuring generated pulse as voltage. Use an analog type voltmeter while spinning wheels on lift with selector lever in "D" position. See Figure . Refer to SPEED SENSOR SPECIFICATIONS  table.

Coil Resistance 180 +/- 20 Ohms
Output Voltage at 37 MPH App. One Volt
SHIFT SOLENOID RESISTANCE

Direct Clutch 14-12 13
