Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
    WARNING:
    • Disconnect the battery negative cable, and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
  2. Remove the main crash pad assembly.

    (Refer to Body (Interior and Exterior) - "MAIN CRASH PAD ASSEMBLY ")

  3. Disconnect the passenger airbag connector (A).

  4. Loosen the mounting bolt and then remove the PAB module (A).

    CAUTION:
    • The removed airbag module should be stored in a clean, dry place with the airbag cushion up.
