DTC Information And Inspection: DTC Detecting Condition

Troubleshooting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • Circuit Malfunction
  1. Faulty N position setting
  2. Poor connector connection
  3. Faulty transmission park position sensor/switch circuit
  4. Faulty transmission park position sensor/switch
  5. Faulty TCM
Enable Conditions
  • Engine "ON"
  • Ignition "ON"
  • Battery voltage is above 10V
Threshold Value
  • Invalid range signal is detected (S1+S2 signal is less then 97% or higher than 103%)
Detecting Time
  • More than 4 sec
MIL ON Condition
  • 2 driving cycles
Fail Safe
  • Warning message output to the cluster (processed by Gear Box)
  • Limp-home mode (processed in Gear Box)
    1. When entering P to Non P: Request to release parking from E-shifter CAN flag ON
    2. When requesting P from Non P -'> Do not enter P
    3. FET 2 OFF since A/B REACTION occurs when FET 2 is cut off
