Removal & Installation
- Switch "OFF" the ignition and disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Remove the air cleaner assembly.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "AIR CLEANER ")
- Remove the water cooled intercooler reservoir tank.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "RESERVOIR TANK ")
- Loosen the mounting bolts (A), and then remove the water cooled intercooler reservoir tank bracket (B).
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Loosen the mounting nut, and then disconnect the cable (A) from the alternator "B" terminal
Tightening torque:
9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the alternator connector (A).
- Remove the drive belt.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "DRIVE BELT ")
- Loosen the mounting bolt (A) and then remove the alternator.
Tightening torque:
49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb-ft)
- Install in the reverse order of removal
