Removal And Installation

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the rear wheel and tire (A) from the rear hub.

    Tightening torque: 

    107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire.
  3. Loosen the caliper mounting bolts, and then remove the rear caliper assembly (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    78.5 - 98.1 N.m (8.0 - 10.0 kgf.m, 57.9 - 72.3 lb-ft)

  4. Loosen the wheel speed sensor mounting bolt and then remove the sensor (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  5. Remove the front wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  6. Loosen the mounting bolt and then remove the wheel speed sensor cable bracket.

    Tightening torque: 

    7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  7. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector (A), and than remove the rear wheel speed sensor.
  8. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
