Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
  2. Remove the propeller shaft.

    (Refer to Driveshaft and axle - "PROPELLER SHAFT ")

  3. Remove the transmission bracket (C) after loosening the mounting bolts (A, B).

    NOTE:
    • Support the transmission valve body cover lower part with a jack.
  4. Disconnect the parking switch connector (A).

  5. Separate the parking release cable (A) after loosening the fastener.

  6. Remove the parking switch after loosening the mounting nut (A) and bolts (B).
