Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery negative (-) cable.
  2. Disconnect the accelerator position sensor connector (A).

  3. Remove the mounting caps (A).

  4. Remove the accelerator pedal (A) after loosening the mounting bolt and nut.

    Tightening torque: 

    8.9 - 13.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.4 kgf.m, 6.5 - 10.1 lb-ft))
