Inspect 4WD ECU (Mechanical Trouble)
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Lift the vehicle safely.
- Remove 4WD ECU from the transfer case.
- Rotate the shaft of the 4WD ECU to the left and right by hand. (Normal: Rotate softly)
→ If the shaft of the 4WD ECU is not rotated (fixed), replace 4WD ECU.
(* Refer to the procedure of replacing 4WD ECU)
→ If 4WD ECU is normal through the inspection, reinstall 4WD ECU.
* Conduct 4WD ECU S/W Management: It is essential to conduct "T/C Clutch Calibration" after reinstalling ECU.
- Inspect the transfer case. (4WD ECU operates properly)
Rotate the shaft combined with the 4WD ECU in transfer case to the countclock wise two times.
→ If the shaft of transfer case is not rotated:
Change the transfer case (including 4WD ECU), and check for proper operation.
* If the worker change the transfer case (including 4WD ECU): No need to enter S/W management.
→ If no trouble in 4, 5 reassemble 4WD ECU.
