LKAS (Lane Keep Assistant System)
The LKAS has a CAN line that is directly linked to the SCC besides a Chassis CAN line, which is called the Local CAN. The Local CAN line carries CAN signals administering operation of the AEB (Autonomous Emergency Brake).
This function is mainly controlled by the SCC, not the LKAS, thus, a warning lamp would not illuminate when an error occurs regarding the CAN signals. Still, the DTC will be stored.
