Repair Procedures: Replacement
CAUTION:
- Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.
NOTE:
- When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
- When removing the interior trim pieces, use a plastic panel removal tool not to damage the surface.
- Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
- Remove the front seat assembly.
(Refer to Front Seat - "FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY ")
- Loosen the mounting screw, remove the front seat shield front cover (A).
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the front seat front shield outer cover (A).
- Using a screwdriver or remover and remove the rear hook (1).
- Using a screwdriver or remover and remove the anchor pretensioner side hook (2).
- Remove the switch side hook (3) by lifting it up.
- Remove the front seat outer shield cover (A) after loosen the front screws.CAUTION:
- Front Seat Outer Shield When removing the cover, pay attention to the removal order and direction.
- Be careful not to damage the hooks and brackets.
- Disconnect the front seat power switch connector (A).
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure the connector is connected properly.
- Replace any damaged clips.
