Repair Procedures: Removal

  1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
    CAUTION:
    • Wait at least 30 seconds after separating the cable.
  2. Loosen the wheel nuts slightly.

    Raise the vehicle, and make sure it is securely supported.

  3. Remove the front wheel and tire (A) from rear hub.
    NOTE:
    • Be careful not to damage the hub bolts when removing the rear wheel and tire (A).

    Tightening torque: 

    107.9 - 127.5 N.m (11.0 - 13.0 kgf.m, 79.6 - 94.0 lb-ft)

  4. Remove the rear wheel guard.

    (Refer to Body - "REAR WHEEL GUARD ")

  5. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor connector (A).

  6. Remove the rear wheel speed sensor bracket bolt.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m 5.1 - 7.9 lb-ft)

  7. Disconnect the rear wheel speed sensor bolt (A) and then remove the rear wheel speed sensor.

    Tightening torque: 

    6.9 - 10.8 N.m (0.7 - 1.1 kgf.m 5.1 - 7.9 lb-ft)
