Fault Code Analysis

  1. Self-diagnostic connector of the vehicle is connected to the GDS.
  2. Engine ON.
  3. Press "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)"  button after selecting system and select the DTC status button in order to check DTC Information.
  4. Check "DTC status".

    "Current DTC" 

    • Go to next procedure.

    "Past DTC" 

    • After repair, when the fault codes were not erased or May be due to temporary malfunctioning by poor contact of the power side.

      Check if the connector is loose, poor contact, bending, corrosion, contamination, alteration, or damaged.

    • Repair or replace if necessary, after that go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    "Freeze Frame Data" analysis 

  1. Self-diagnostic connector of the vehicle is connected to the GDS.
  2. Engine ON.
  3. "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)  " button after selecting system and select the Freeze Frame data button in order to check DTC Information.
  4. Check "lever sensor X, Y position of the Freeze Frame data".
    1. Compare Lever Sensor X1 Position and Shift Lever Sensor X2 Position

      Compare Lever Sensor Y1 Position and Shift Lever Sensor Y2 Position

      Specification  : 10% or less

    2. Check the average of the sensor lever's "X-axis" and "Y-axis"

      Specification  : 10%~90%

  5. "The lever sensor X, Y position" value of shift lock solenoid 4 is within specification ?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

    • After repair, when the fault codes were not erased or may be due to temporary malfunctioning by poor contact of the power side.

      Check if the connector is loose, poor contact, bending, corrosion, contamination, alteration, or damaged.
