DTC Information: DTC Detecting Condition

Item Detecting Condition Possible Cause
DTC Strategy
  • CAN message monitoring
  1. A fault in the EPS system
  2. Poor connection of CAN communication circuit
Enable Conditions
  • A failure is detected if a message counter of VSM message was not increased more than specific times
  • A failure is detected if the calculated and received checksum values differ more than specific times
  • A failure is detected if VSM message's diagnostic signal fault was happened more than specific times
    • Specific times: control in progress - 10 times, no control: 30 times

      * The monitoring waits 1 sec after power up
Fail Safe
  • No MIL
