Repair Procedures: Removal
- Disconnect the battery negative cable and wait for at least three minutes before beginning work.
- Put a flat tool (04 mm) into a guide hole located in the bottom of steering wheel and press a spring.CAUTION: When put a tool into a hole, make sure not to damage an airbag cousin by a tool.
- Turn a steering wheel anti-clockwise, so make a guide hole (A) shown on the right side.
Put a tool into a hole (B) and bend back a fixed DAB spring.
Make sure to pull DAB cover when bend back the spring.
NOTE: Pull the DAB cover when disengaging the DAB spring because the DAB does not pop up automatically. - Release the connector locking, then disconnect the driver airbag module connector (A) and horn connector (B).
- Remove the steering wheel.

- Loosen the steering wheel column shroud panel.
(Refer to Steering System - "STEERING COLUMN & SHAFT ")
- Disconnect the clock spring and horn connector, then remove the clock spring (A).
