Repair Procedures: Replacement

  1. Discharge refrigerant from refrigeration system.
  2. Replace any faulty tubes or hoses.
    CAUTION: Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture or dirt out of the system.
  3. Tighten the bolt or nut joint to the specified torque.
    CAUTION: The torque for the connections should not be tighter than the specified torque.
  4. Evacuate air from the refrigeration system and charge the system with refrigerant.

    Specified amount: 

    630 ± 25 g (22.2 ± 0.88oz.)

  5. Inspect for leakage of refrigerant.

    Using a gas leak detector, check for leakage of refrigerant.

  6. Inspect A/C operation.
