Repair Procedures: Replacement

- Remove the front door trim.
(Refer to Front Door - "FRONT DOOR TRIM ").
- After loosening the mounting screws, remove the front door belt outside weatherstrip (A).
- Separating the mounting plug hole (A) from the front door module. Lower the glass by operating the power window switch until the glass mounting bolt is exposed in the plug hole
- After unscrewing the mounting bolt (B) as loosely as possible and completely loosening the bolt (C), tilt the front door window glass (D) to pull out it upwards.
Tightening torque:
7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)
CAUTION:- Be careful not to drop the glass and/or scratch the glass surface.
Information
- Use the door switch to align the mounting hole/bolt with the hole in the door.
- If unable to operate the window motor, remove the motor and align the hole by hand.
- Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure that the glass rolls up and down smoothly.
- Adjust glass position as needed.
- Make sure the door lock and opens properly.
- Check the glass run channel for damage and replace the damaged channel.
