DTC Description

A DTC sets when either of the "Main" lines attached to CAN High line and CAN Low line suffers an open or poor contact. Communication will work properly.

A transmitter control module will set this DTC when a sensor signal or state signal is abnormal. On the other hand, a receiver control module will set this when a signal is out of specification or when data are not in line with the predetermined checksum.

A DTC sets in two cases; when one or two of the "Main" lines connected to CAN High line and CAN Low line suffer an open or short; or when one or two of the "Branch" lines suffer a short. CAN data can be received while it cannot be transmitted.

A DTC sets in two cases; when power supply to a control module is not normal; or when CAN data are not transmitted for over 10 sec. due to an open or poor contact in CAN High line or Low line. This DTC can be set only by a receiver control module.
