Monitor GDS Data
- Connect GDS.
- IG key "ON".
- Clear DTCs.
- Perform "T/C Clutch Calibration" in "Vehicle S/W Management " menu of the GDS.
- Perform "Power Down Calibration" three times in "Vehicle S/W Management " menu of the GDS.
- Perform "Torque Coupling Actuation Test" in "Vehicle S/W Management " menu of the GDS.
- Drive the vehicle for over 15 minutes.
- Is the DTC displayed on GDS after a trial run?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good "4WD ECU" and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace "4WD-ECU" and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
NO
- Fault is intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and 4WD ECU memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
- Repair or replace as necessary and then Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
