Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
Remove the under cover.
(Refer to Engine mechanical system - "ENGINE ROOM UNDER COVER ")
Remove the front propeller shaft.
(Refer to Drive shaft and axle - "FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the rear propeller shaft.
(Refer to Drive shaft and axle - "FRONT PROPELLER SHAFT ASSEMBLY ")
Remove the LH side stay (A) and RH side stay (B).

Remove the fastener (A) and mounting bolt (B) of the parking release cable.
Tightening Torque:

12.7 - 15.7 N.m (1.3 - 1.6 kgf.m, 9.4 - 11.6 lb-ft)

Remove the wiring (B) fixed on the transfer case after disassembling the transfer case (AWD) ECU connector (A).

Remove the cross member (A) after supporting the transmission oil pan by the transmission jack.
Tightening Torque:

49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 lb.ft)

Unfasten the mounting bolt and remove the transfer case (AWD) (A).
Tightening Torque:

29.4 - 41.2 N.m (3.0 - 4.2 kgf.m, 21.7 - 30.4 lb.ft)
