Repair Procedures: Inspection

[Resistance Inspection] 

  1. Turn the Ignition Switch OFF.
  2. Remove the OTS. (Refer to "Removal" procedure below).
  3. After immersing the thermistor of the sensor into engine coolant, measure resistance between the OTS terminals 1 and 2.
  4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.

[Voltage Inspection] 

  1. Connect the GDS to DLC.
  2. Turn the ignition ON or idle.
  3. Check the OTS temperature in the GDS service data.
  4. Check that the resistance is within the specification.
