Monitoring DTC Status

  1. Connect GDS to "DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC)".
  2. IG key "ON", Engine "OFF".
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)"  with GDS.
  4. Monitor the diagnostic trouble code and present of the trouble code.
  5. Erase the DTC and operate the vehicle within DTC Enable conditions in General Information.

  6. Is the DTC output again?

    YES 

    • After checking installed option on the real vehicle firmly, perform "CLU Variant Coding" procedure in the "Vehicle Software Management"  with GDS.

      → Go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NO 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in CLU*'s connector or CLU*'s memory was not cleared after repair.

      → Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration or damage.

      → Repair or replace as necessary, go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.

    NOTE: CLU*: "INSTRUMENT CLUSTER"
