Power Circuit Inspection

■ Open or Short Check 

1. IG "ON" & ENG "OFF".
2. Measure voltage between power terminal of the yaw sensor harness connector and chassis ground.
3. Measure voltage between power terminal of the steering angle sensor harness connector and chassis ground.

   Specification  :Approx. 12V

4. Is the measured value within specifications?

   YES 

   • Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
   NOTE: In a case of replacing HECU, perform following functions

   1. "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction (refer to C1261 ) - ESP (ESC) only
   2. "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to C1285 ) - ESP (ESC) only
   3. "Variant Coding" for option coding (refer to C1702 )

   NO 

   • Repair open or short in power circuit between HECU harness connector and yaw sensor (steering angel sensor) harness connector and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
