Preliminary Procedure Power Transfer Unit Heat Shield Replacement
1	Power Transfer Unit Shift Actuator Bolt [4x] CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten 9 N.m (80 lb in)
2	Power Transfer Unit Shift Actuator NOTE: Place the vehicle in AWD prior to disassembly. The shift fork must be lined up with the shift collar when it is installed. Procedure Disconnect the electrical connectors.
3	Power Transfer Unit Shift Actuator Seal Procedure Remove and DISCARD Fill the transmission to the correct level using the proper fluid. Transmission Fluid Drain and Fill Verify power transfer unit fluid level is at the correct level and adjust as necessary. Approximate Fluid Capacities Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers
