Circuit/System Description

A direct current (DC) fast charge drive motor battery charger cable allows vehicles to be charged using a 400+ V offboard DC charger. The K16A battery energy control module 1 automatically prohibit voltage transfer to the Hybrid/Electric Vehicle battery charger Coupler if an internal fault or inadequate voltage is detected.. If no faults are detected, voltage transfer through the X98 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Charger Coupler directly to the A4 Hybrid/Electric Vehicle Battery Pack occurs.
