Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle Power Mode State: OFF
- Disconnect the X1 connector at the K219 Lighting Control Module.
- Starting with the affected headlamp assembly disconnect one headlamp connector at time to while Perform the following test.
- Test for infinite resistance between K219 Lighting Control Module connector X1 terminal 6 and ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short to ground on the circuit: 11369.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- If less than infinite resistance
- Reconnect the harness connectors at the K219 lighting control module while leaving the headlamp connectors disconnected.
- Vehicle Power Mode State: Service/Run
- Verify DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
K219 Lighting Control Module - Replace
- Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
- Vehicle Power Mode State: OFF
- Connect one side headlamp connector while leaving the other headlamp connector disconnected.
- Vehicle Power Mode State: Service/Run
- Verify DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
Replace the connected headlamp assembly.
- Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set
- If DTC U1015 is set
- Replace the disconnected headlamp assembly.
NOTE:
Additional DTC(s) will set with the headlamp connectors disconnected during testing.
