Circuit/System Testing

  1. Vehicle Power Mode State: OFF 
  2. Disconnect the X1 connector at the K219 Lighting Control Module.
  3. Starting with the affected headlamp assembly disconnect one headlamp connector at time to while Perform the following test.
  4. Test for infinite resistance between K219 Lighting Control Module connector X1 terminal 6 and ground.
    • If less than infinite resistance 

      Repair the short to ground on the circuit: 11369.

    • Go to next step: If infinite resistance 
  5. Reconnect the harness connectors at the K219 lighting control module while leaving the headlamp connectors disconnected.
  6. Vehicle Power Mode State: Service/Run 
  7. NOTE:

    Additional DTC(s) will set with the headlamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  8. Verify DTC U1015 is not set
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      K219 Lighting Control Module - Replace

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  9. Vehicle Power Mode State: OFF 
  10. Connect one side headlamp connector while leaving the other headlamp connector disconnected.
  11. Vehicle Power Mode State: Service/Run 
  12. NOTE:

    Additional DTC(s) will set with the headlamp connectors disconnected during testing.

  13. Verify DTC U1015 is not set
    • If DTC U1015 is set 

      Replace the connected headlamp assembly.

    • Go to next step: If DTC U1015 is not set 
  14. Replace the disconnected headlamp assembly.
