Circuit/System Testing
- Vehicle On
- Verify DTC U01BB is not set
- If the DTC is set
- Go to next step: If no DTC is set
- Vehicle Off.
- Disconnect the electrical connector: {X1} @K16 Battery Energy Control Module
- Disconnect the electrical connector: {X3} @ T18B Battery Charger 2
- Test for infinite resistance between the test points:
- T18B Battery Charger 2 enable terminal 2 and the B+ ring terminal on the case of the T18 Battery Charger or the positive connection of the 12V battery.
- T18B Battery Charger 2 enable terminal 2 and the vehicle ground.
- If less than infinite resistance
Repair the short between the circuits.
- Go to next step: If infinite resistance
- Test for less than 2 Ω between the terminals listed below end to end:
T18B Battery Charger 2 terminal 2 @X3 and K16 Battery Energy Control Module terminal 21 @X1
- If 2 ohms or Greater - Repair the open/high resistance in the circuit.
- Go to next step: If less than 2 ohms - Replace the component: K16 Battery Energy Control Module
- Verify DTC P2E35, P2E36, P2E37 is not set
- If any of the DTCs are set
Replace the component: T18B Battery Charger 2
- Go to next step: If none of the DTCs are set
- If any of the DTCs are set
- All OK.
