Replace and Program Control Module

To program a replacement control module, perform the following procedure:

NOTE:

When replacing the entire steering gear, follow the steps for Reprogram Control Module.

Replace the Power Steering Control Module. Refer to Control Module References .
On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Programming and follow the on-screen instructions.
Ignition OFF and all vehicle systems OFF. It may take up to 2 minutes for all vehicle systems to power down.
Ignition ON.
On the SPS Supported Controllers screen, select K43 Power Steering Control Module - Setup and Configuration and follow the on-screen instructions.
Clear DTCs.
