Neutral Service Mode
The following procedure allows the vehicle to remain in Neutral:
NOTE:
In cases of an ETRS system fault or a no start condition, refer to: Critical Fault Mode Maneuvering
Vehicle in Service Mode - Shifting to Neutral
- Place vehicle in Service Mode by holding the start button for 5 seconds.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Open the door.
- Shift to Neutral.
- Release the brake pedal.
- The indicator should continue to show N. If it does not, repeat steps 2 - 5.
- Vehicle is now in Neutral Service Mode.NOTE:
The vehicle may automatically shift to Park upon re-entry.
Vehicle On/Propulsion Inactive - Driver in Vehicle
- Vehicle On/Propulsion Active.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Shift the vehicle to Drive.
- Shift to Neutral.
- Vehicle Off and release the brake pedal.
- The indicator should continue to show N. If it does not, repeat steps 2 - 5.
- Vehicle is now in Neutral Service Mode.
Vehicle On/Propulsion Inactive - Driver out of Vehicle
- Vehicle On/Propulsion Active.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Shift the vehicle to Drive.
- Open the door.
- Shift to Neutral.
- Vehicle Off and release the brake pedal.
- The indicator should continue to show N. If it does not, repeat steps 2 - 6.
- Exit the vehicle and close the door. Vehicle is now in Neutral Service Mode.NOTE:
The vehicle may automatically shift to Park upon re-entry.
Vehicle On/Propulsion Active - Driver in Vehicle
- Vehicle On/Propulsion Active.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Shift the vehicle to Drive.
- Shift to Neutral.
- Release the brake pedal.
- Vehicle is now in Neutral Service Mode.
Vehicle On/Propulsion Active - Driver out of Vehicle
- Vehicle On/Propulsion Active.
- Apply the brake pedal.
- Shift the vehicle to Drive.
- Open the door.
- Shift to Neutral.
- Release the brake pedal.
- The indicator should continue to show N. If it does not, repeat steps 2 - 6.
- Exit the vehicle and close the door.
- Vehicle is now in Neutral Service Mode.NOTE:
