Removal Procedure
- Remove the rear tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (RD6 / RPP) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (QW5 / R1U / R34 / PZX / PZI / RQ8 / RQL / RD4 / RD5 / RPS / NZS / NZT)
Rear Wheel Opening Molding Bolt (1) - Remove [3x]
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner Bolt (2) - Remove [4x]
- Rear Wheelhouse Liner (3) - Reposition
Pickup Box Wheelhouse Panel Bolt (1) - Remove [8x]
Pickup Box Wheelhouse Panel (1) - Remove
From the backside of the housing release the lower and side retainers (1) and pivot the fuel tank filler pipe housing (2) from the body side outer panel upward to release the upper 2 retainers (1).
- Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Housing (2) - Remove
Evaporative Emission Canister Retainer (1) - Remove
- Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe (2) - Reposition
- Fuel Tank Filler Pipe Ground Bolt (3) - Remove [2x]
Fuel Tank Filler Vent Hose Strap (1) - Remove and DISCARD [2x]
Chassis Front Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Remove
- Reposition the chassis front wiring harness ground (2).
Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) - Disconnect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (2) - Loosen
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose (3) - Remove
Fuel Tank Filler Pipe (1) - Remove
