Installation Procedure
Fuel Sender Gasket (2) - Install NEW
- Fuel Tank Fuel Pump Module (1) - Install
Fuel Sender Retainer (1) - Install - use CH-45722 Fuel Sender Lock Ring Wrench (2)
Fuel Feed Hose (1) - Install
- Fuel Feed Hose (1) @ Fuel Feed and Return Hose Clip (2) - Engage [2x]
- Fuel Feed Hose (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) - Install
- Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) @ Fuel Feed and Return Hose Clip (3) - Engage [2x]
- Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) @ Fuel Feed Hose Clip (2) - Engage [2x]
- Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) - Connect [2x] - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Fuel Tank Shield (2) - Install [2x]
- Fuel Tank Shield Retainer (1) - Install [4x]
Fuel Tank Heat Shield (2) - Install
- Fuel Tank Shield Retainer (1) - Install [5x]
Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2) - Install
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Place a suitable adjustable jack under the fuel tank.
- Fuel Tank (1) - Install
Raise the fuel tank, allowing clearance to access connections at the top of the tank.
- Wiring Harness (4) - Install
- Wiring Harness Clip (3) - Engage [2x]
- Connect the electrical connectors. (2)
- Evaporative Emission Canister Vent Hose (1) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
Connect the electrical connector. (1)
- Raise the tank to the installed position.
Fuel Tank Strap (2) - Install [2x]
- Fuel Tank Strap Bolt (1) - Install and tighten [2x] - Fastener Specifications
- Remove the jack.
Evaporative Emission Canister Filter Pipe (3) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Fuel Feed Hose (2) - Connect - Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service
- Engage the evaporative emission canister filter pipe retainer (1).
Fuel Tank Filler Hose (2) - Install
- Rotate the fuel tank filler hose clamp 180° to gain access for proper torque.
- Fuel Tank Filler Hose Clamp (1) - Tighten - Fastener Specifications
Install the chassis front wiring harness ground (2).
- Chassis Front Wiring Harness Ground Bolt (1) - Install and tighten Fastener Specifications
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Refill the fuel tank.
- Start the engine and check for fuel leaks.
