With Scan Tool

    NOTE:
    • Only perform this procedure if the learn was not successful after a service programming event.
    • The vehicle must be parked on a level surface or the following vehicle functions may be inoperative or operate incorrectly:
      • Electric Parking Brake - Automatic
      • Hill Hold System
      • Remote Vehicle Start
      • Stop/Start System
    • Perform this procedure for the following control modules:
      • K20 Engine Control Module
      • K71 Transmission Control Module
  1. Park the vehicle on a level surface.
  2. Ignition - On / Vehicle - In Service Mode
  3. Select: Module Diagnostics
  4. Select: Engine Control Module or Transmission Control Module
  5. Select: Configuration/Reset Functions
  6. Select: Learn Functions
  7. Select: Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Learn or Vehicle Longitudinal Accelerometer Sensor Learn
  8. Select: Learn
  9. Follow the instructions on the scan tool. The procedure will complete within 10 s

    Verify the scan tool parameter: Longitudinal Acceleration Sensor Learn Status or Vehicle Longitudinal Accelerometer Sensor Learn Status = Complete

    • If not the specified state 

      Repeat the procedure starting at step 1

    • Go to next step: If the specified state 
  10. All OK.
