Removal Procedure

Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (RD6 / RPP) , or Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation (QW5 / R1U / R34 / PZX / PZI / RQ8 / RQL / RD4 / RD5 / RPS / NZS / NZT)
Front Wheelhouse Liner - Remove - Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (without SD0) , or Front Wheelhouse Liner Replacement (SD0)
Remove underbody panels as necessary. Underbody Panel Component Locator

Steering Linkage Outer Tie Rod Nut (1) - Loosen

CAUTION:
Do not attempt to disconnect a steering linkage joint by driving a wedge between the joint and the attached part. Seal damage may result which will cause premature failure of the joint.

NOTE:

Using the CH-42188-B Ball Joint Separator (1), separate the steering linkage outer tie rod from the steering knuckle.
Remove the CH-42188-B Ball Joint Separator (1) from the steering linkage outer tie rod (2) and the steering knuckle.
